When someone says “cowboy” probably the first thing that comes into a person’s mind is the boots. Cowboy boots are high-cut ones, having pointed tips, and do not have lacing. It is made of pure leather or cow hide.
Nowadays, cowboy boots are merely collector’s items that are not quite practical to use today. Probably its modern counterpart are the work boots. Work boots are not necessarily made of pure leather, but are rather very durable. It not only offers comfort, but also adequate protection of the wearer’s feet.
One of the most popular makers of work boots is Justin. Justin work boots are made of pure leather and are quite costly. If you always wanted to be a cowboy, you probably have or must have Justin work boots.
Since Justin work boots are made of cow hide, there is a proper way of effectively cleaning it up. Here is how you should do it:
1.If your boots is dirty, make sure you shake or brush it off first. You can use a shoe brush or a rag to to it. For tough dirt that has dried, dampen a cloth and wipe it on your boots.
2. Clean the surface of the boots using a leather conditioner or a leather balm. Take note of the areas where dirt accumulates and pay attention to those spots
3.Use a neutral shoe cream. Apply a thin coating on the whole surface of the boots and brush or rub it with a shoe brush or a rag until it begins to shine.
4. If you want it more shiny, apply another thin coat of wax over it especially onto the areas that look dull. Polish it off again with a brush until you get the shine you want
