It really depends on what your going to appear. They look good on some people, but others bad. If you go for the look emo, totally. Emo chicks seem to melt for it. If your going for a preppie look, then no. That make you look like a homosexual. If your looking for a rocker look, then yes. It goes back to the 70s, when the boys wore flares / boot cut all the time. Personally, I think this is a hot way for kids to wear boot cut. If you is really tall and thin, id say no. That seems a little silly if you ask me. So to answer your question, may be attractive, if done well. If done poorly, can send the wrong message.
